LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT

Updated: Jul 9, 2021

Examining unlimited inclusion as the ultimate danger to America as the beacon of Hope & Freedom...

Ten Years After lamented, "I'd love to change the world, but I don't know what to do."

To those who want to change America - because they hate America - we say, "Leave America". America isn't perfect - not because of the principles on which it was founded, not because of the beliefs on which it was founded, but because of the flawed execution. America isn't perfect because it didn't embrace and give equal standing to differing cultural values. Any student of History (unfortunately so few remain) would know that one lesson of history is that when cultures "merge", the best elements survive and the worst meet their demise. Those who hate America would have you believe that every cultural belief system deserves equal standing in America. If you believe that, then I want to introduce you to a friend who has embraced Polynesian cannibalism as his cultural belief - for he will find you absolutely delicious. How about German Nazis? Then they should be allowed to practice their beliefs when in the U.S. as well. Once you acknowledge that one cultural norm is unacceptable in our culture (Nazism, cannibalism, etc.), you have acknowledged that some cultural norms are wrong. Aztec, Incan and Mayan cultural values for slavery and blood sacrifice also illustrate the idiocy of those who want to Balkanize America. Condemn Spanish explorers for destroying the Aztec and Incan "civilizations". Seriously? You endorse slavery and blood sacrifice - the foundations of those civilizations? Hypocrite, then is what you are - but maybe not a hypocrite, just an ignoramus.

Do you disagree? Should we change our laws to allow every culture to practice its beliefs? Should we encourage and celebrate diversity? Or should we, like my immigrant parents, focus on adopting common values based on the principles on which our nation was founded? Immigrants' objectives in the past were to have their next generation be indistinguishable from those who had been in America for generations - not to maintain their "diversity" and difference. What do you think?
